I have always been interested in art, consistently gravitating towards activities or work that involves making art or crafts. In College I earned a degree in Art Education. Later while teaching Art & Design and Art History, I earned a masters degree in Portraiture.

Since retiring from teaching, I have focused on painting and attending workshops by professional artists. My studio is in Lincoln, Nebraska and I serve as the Coordinating Member of Lincoln’s Gallery 9.

The paintings are inspired by the moments when an ordinary object catches my attention and I stop to realize that, what I am seeing for some reason has become extra ordinary. My intent is to create paintings that give others a moment to pause.
